How COBES uses simulation software to win customer trust

How COBES uses simulation software to win customer trust

September 22, 2024/in Case studies, User testimonials

In Ettenheim, Germany, COBES (COBES GmbH Induktionserwärmung) is a small company that makes induction heating systems. They have over 30 years of experience, but they still face a big problem: new customers need to be convinced of their reliability.

Cay-Oliver Bartsch, the owner and director of COBES, knew they needed a better way to show their expertise and build trust.

Challenge accepted

When COBES approached new customers, they needed to prove that their induction heating systems worked well. Customers wanted to be 100% sure before placing an order. Traditional methods of showing and proving their designs were not always enough.

Cay-Oliver decided to use CENOS simulation software. This tool allowed COBES to create detailed visualizations of their induction heating processes. With simulations, they could show customers exactly how their systems would perform without making physical prototypes.

Using simulation software, COBES could simulate the heating patterns and cooling rates of their systems. They could adjust parameters like coil design, power levels, and heating duration to optimize performance. These simulations allowed them to test different scenarios quickly and find the best solutions.

The simulations also helped identify potential issues before building the actual systems. For example, they could see if there were any hotspots or areas that might not heat evenly. By fixing these problems in the simulation, they saved time and materials.

When COBES presented these simulations to customers, it was easier to explain the benefits and reliability of their systems. The customers could see how the system would work, which made them more confident in placing orders.

The results

For engineers and manufacturing managers, experience of COBES company shows how using a simulation software can solve challenges faster than expected. Even with decades of experience, visually proving your designs can make a big difference in winning customer trust.

COBES’s success with simulation software shows that even small companies can benefit from advanced technology. By making it easier for customers to see and understand the quality of their work, COBES built stronger relationships and grew their business more effectively.
